Easy.   QF scrambles, throws it up, WR jumps up and catches

Why would he be scrambling much in a hb dive offense?

Because qf was giving Gilbert the middle finger.

There were no passing routes ... that part of the napkin got wet and smeared.  QF improvised ....

Remember there is a pass play - the third and long desperation pass since the two HB dives gained only 3 yards!! (post QF)

Yeah, but it wasn't on the play napkin ... Q just made it up

Doesn't the word playbook assume a book of plays? I recall reading somewhere that Gilbert acknowledged that he does not have a playbook...

No. That’s called revisionist history. He said he does not hand players a book of plays on day 1. Instead, as he installs new plays at practice, the players fill in their own playbooks drawing in their own assignments. They call that a teaching strategy. Just like every professor you had at USF did instead of handing you all of the notes on the first day of class.

If he was installing new plays in practice, then one would assume that we would see more than two plays called throughout his tenure.

Wouldn't know, I didn't go to class. Just showed up on test day 😎

Freaking Glibert was a visionary.  Using Marzano strategies to get the players to learn the plays ... who knew?

Seriously, the guy was/is a complete a$$clown. Admitted he didn't watch any tape of the offense before he came on campus. Who does that??? At least lie about it...
