It was good enough to set USF passing records by a running back playing qb and average 38 points a game..... the quality of your players will more determine the success rather than the system, though.

He didn't even have to write it down:

1st down - hb dive

2nd down - hb dive

3rd down - deep sideline route

4th down - punt

Right... two pieces of paper with plays on them that offense was directed to run. The HB dive and then the passing routes.

There were no passing routes ... that part of the napkin got wet and smeared.  QF improvised ....

Doesn't the word playbook assume a book of plays? I recall reading somewhere that Gilbert acknowledged that he does not have a playbook...
