I'm gonna try not to get too excited so I don't get let down.  I've had lots of practice with this at home games lately.

Here’s a scenario.

Leavitt - HC

Taggart - OC

or Taggart - HC

Leavitt - DC

I'm good either way - one of them would have to work for the other one and Leavitt is the one who has already done that.

I wonder if there would be an ego battle...? And how the salaries would be.

I’d rather have Leavitt as head coach, and if he fails, peacefully retire and be honored, and Taggart head coach in waiting.

Or maybe Leavitt doesn’t want to deal with the media.

it would be unreal if both came back to USF to try and build it back up together. They already have a relationship together and Florida roots. Could be a good fit if everyone’s egos and emotions and vision for USF and their role is aligned. It’s that alignment that I just find really unlikely.

Doubt Leavitt would be down to be anything but Head Coach here.

They made it work at Oregon for a short time.  We don't even know if both want to be HC or if one would be happy coaching offense or defense.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
