I have been reading the "behind the paywall" stuff over at Rivals and all in all it is actually pretty good content, not necessarily elite booster level content but significantly more than the average fan would get. I don't know if board donors here get to hear anything similar if they've donated enough.

All I'll say is that MK is working his way down the list, the hire may come out of left field, and at least 3 of the top candidates that have been mentioned have already said no. It's mostly 247 and the TBT working the CWT angle.

At this point I want to see Leavitt if he's open for it just because of the shot in the arm the program would get for a year or two. The Big East fan base would show up just because of him, at least until they realize what a rebuild we have in store.

If true, thats depressing.

Not surprising though.  Leavitt and Taggart are the best choices because they know what they are getting into.  They aren't gonna take the job and after a week say to themselves "this sucks" and their only motivation is to get a better job ASAP..  USF has little interest in investing what they should in the program so top candidates are not gonna be interested.

Things that make you go HMMM.  Its probably nothing.

Maybe MK got word out to the former players to not talk about the Coaching search publicly to not fuel speculation, who knows.

Why would former players have any reason to follow MK’s directives? Q just turned the title of this thread from getting warmer to burned down to the ******* ground. A political way to voice support is to talk about how you enjoyed him as a coach and that you are sure he would do a good job if MK decided to go that direction, no comment is a giant **** no.

we just paid charlie strong $5M per year. 16th highest in the country. yeah nobody wants a payday like that.

look what this job did for Taggart. He parlayed it into $30M+ in 3 years.

lol I'm sure they're connected....and you can be too for only $9.95 per month!

they are just feeding this stuff to drive subscriptions.

Nobody has a clue but Kelly. I'm sure even the top boosters will let him know how they feel but he said it himself he has the final say.

It takes two to tango. USF is tight lipped, the information is coming from the other end.

If he's hired I hope this comes to fruition but I doubt it. I think the majority of the Big East fanbase that are gone are gone  because it's gone, not him .... you'll get back some of the short sighted USF "fan" base who left with Leavitt but I'm not convinced it's that many ...... I hope it's not that many anyway.

yeah I doubt it. so I can just call someones agent(hi I'm from rivals online. I was just wondering if USF offered your client their job? oh he's angling for a raise?) and they are going to tell me honestly that USF offered but we declined?? sure

does rivals use a writers name for their articles? do they just quote "anonymous sources"?

who was that southern miss coach who lobbied for a raise every year whose agent floated that he was offered jobs all over the place?

sorry but they just want your $10 per month

Sounds like the MBB hunt before hiring Stan ...
