GAME DAY at ECU

The Bulls will play their third conference road game (second straight) in four weeks and fifth straight afternoon kick when they travel to ECU on homecoming. It is USF’s last scheduled trip out of the state of Florida on the season. USF has a bye next week before three straight home games. USF has won four straight vs. ECU and has never lost in Greenville (4-0). The Bulls have averaged 34 ppg in nine contests vs. ECU, failing to score at least 20 just once in a 28-17 loss in 2014. USF posted a 61-31 victory in its last trip to Greenville in 2017.

QUARTERBACK HEALTH: Senior QB Blake Barnet (who started the first two games of 2019 and 10 in 2018) underwent season ending ankle surgery on Oct. 18. Redshirt freshman QB Jordan McCloud, the starter in the last five games, has played the last two games with injuries to his shoulder and wrist. Walk-on Kirk Rygol (6-0, 195) has seen action late in two games (UConn & Navy), completing 5-of-8 passes for 97 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.

CRONK FINDS A RYTHM: Senior RB Jordan Cronkrite has posted 382 yards on an average of 21 carries a game in the last three games to provide some stability to the offense while posting two of the top four rushing performances of his career, runnning for 148 at UConn and 158 vs. BYU.

DISRUPTIVE DEFENSE: After posting three takeaways at Navy, the Bulls’ fourth game with two or more on the year, USF has 18 takeaways on the year to rank second nationally. The Bulls have a takeaway in every game and 10 players have a takeaway on the year. USF posted a total of 21 takeaways last season. The Bulls rank third nationally in fumbles recovered (10) and 21st in interceptions (8). USF stands third in the nation in tackles for loss (9.1). Sport Source Analytics ranked USF’s defense No. 3 nationally in “Defensive Mayhem”, posting a TFL, sack, INT or fumble on 16.8 percent of plays prior to Week 7.

Doing a father daughter sorority tailgate  in college station at 9 am because A&M is lame (jimbo) and a 11am kick, at least  I can leave the stadium after the game and continue my misery watching us in a bar struggle to compete with a straight ass team.  I want to believe but too much of a pragmatic to think we are anything else than a dumpster fire that is intent on becoming an inferno.

Here in Greenville. @MDBull20 (my son and current USF student) made the drive up from Tampa to meet us for the game. I don't really care too much if we win or lose. All I know is that I get to watch a USF game with my son, my wife (USF grad), my youngest daughter (future USF grad?), and my parents. The weather is beautiful here today. Life is good. Go Bulls!

Some of my best memories were taking the boys to USF games, they're USF fans today even while attending Arizona State.

Agreed.  My son was born the day before the inaugural game and has been going to USF games since he was a kid.  Even though he’s now a senior at FSU, he’s still very much a Bulls fan.
