obviously if he thought FSU job would be open and he'd have a shot he would have stayed one more year. He will succeed at FSU. They have 4 losses. All to ranked teams. 3 of those losses were by 7

But his ability to hire and manage a competent staff will make or break him. His staff recruiting the right players will make him or break him. IMO his "coaching" job is motivation. Motivation at practice, motivation pre-game, motivation in-game,  and motivating his coaches to do the job they're hired for. I'm not sure CCS is the correct type of motivator needed at USF.

To this day, I believe Holtz lost his job at USF due to hiring that terrible DC from KState.

I've heard from different sources that his recruiting parameters changed from the previous regime ..... don't know if they were changed again with CWT, though.
