Pure record wise you are right, however context matters a LOT.  Holtz was in the Big East which was a tougher conference than the American.  I just pulled the SoS: 2010- 54th (8-5) 2011-49th

Just busting balls...yeah if we win two we all be shocked. But looking at Temple now they dont look great. Even Memphis does not look that great. Hey, that's why they play the game right?
