He is failing hard and will never coach again save for a low level team as it stands - this is an abysmal fall from inheriting a top 20 taggart team to this. Walk away, recoop, and coach again somewhere else next year. Cause going from 11-2 to 2-10 means your career is over.

So far, it looks like VPoA M. Kelly has been doing the right things for USF, and doing them in his own (and what seems to the the right) time. I'll keep faith with that for now. He could leave now or leave at the end of his contract and still be in the same position. Head coaching failure doesn't necessarily translate to failure as a coordinator. Charlie may be the next enrollee in Bama's program for misfit head coaches.

Saban has a long history of taking failed head coaches and giving them another shot as a coordinator at bama

It’s stupid and teams pay for it more than they don’t, just say no!! You can't play with the big boys if you don't spend like one. So you can't crow about how you belong in a P5 but then complain about the size of the stakes at the table. $5 million is the price of one season for an upper end P5 coach. If you're balking at the size of the big blind, it's time to find a new table.

TV revenues don't allow us to pay five million for a head coach. We are already sitting at what you are calling "new table". It is called the AAC.
