I'm not saying it will end up being a good or bad decision, but I don't think USF/Tampa beats UM/Minneapolis in football culture, town, or academic support.

And lets be honest, would you rather tell the grand kids you played college ball and got to lose to Temple and Cincy, or Penn State and Ohio State?

Good point

you mean losing to the 2017 National Champions by 7 points isn't a good recruiting tool?

Big 10. Brand new stadium. Insanely nice IPF and athletic village. Just as many conference titles as we have the past 20 years.

Man **** Minnesota. if he wants to spend his career on an average P5 team then all power to him. We have lost recruits plenty of times and still survived or did better with who we got instead.

Still...to go there sight unseen...

As has been mentioned.....Cash money. NCAA football is nearly on the level of men's boxing or WWE. Nothing is on the level. Alabama's donors just pay the most money.

And its definitely a ballsy move going sight unseen, but Minnesota trounces USF academically. Minneapolis smokes Tampa as a sports town. And UM once finished 2nd in the West in the Big 10, so they have us on football success, too.

Oh yeah? Well we were ranked number two in the whole country for like six days. We just weren't prepared for that kind of success.

Yes, based on your assessment, that must explain all of the success Minnesota has had in football.

Why are we investing in ipfs when we should be investing in bag men?

I mean, I'm a huge Bulls homer, but we're looking like an average G5 team as of late.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
