That's pretty much how it's gamed now.  The financial differences between P5 and G5 are so big now that swinging any kid with a P5 offer is going to be difficult.

If you're going to be mediocre on the field, might as well do it with top notch facilities and Nike swag.

Talking about other things like football culture, the town, the academic support...you know stuff that goes beyond the field. Dude may have not recognized it or gave a **** but pretty stupid if you ask me. But what’s done is done...time to move on. Our lac if IPF is an issue but I am hearing groundbreaking will occur in the late summer so there is always next year for some of these kids.

I'm not saying it will end up being a good or bad decision, but I don't think USF/Tampa beats UM/Minneapolis in football culture, town, or academic support.

And its definitely a ballsy move going sight unseen, but Minnesota trounces USF academically. Minneapolis smokes Tampa as a sports town. And UM once finished 2nd in the West in the Big 10, so they have us on football success, too.
