Could USF get any economic benefit from the new XFL team in Tampa?

1. Rent the football facility

2. Share in the cost of a new stadium (one can dream)

Really tough for non-established leagues/teams that come and go to invest in any infastructure.  Another 5-6 events per year of rental income is another story.  I think we also need to court the Rays as new owners of the Rowdies and get in line for the next round of MLS expansion.  MLS is a different ballgame in regards to investment in stadiums.

USF alumni can benefit it they get a chance 2 play 4 the team. Tice and DeErnest Johnson need 2 be on somebody's team.

I can see the xcl helping former players that can't make a nfl roster or another league. However I don't see the exact benefit usf would get just because they use ray jay

No.  There is no XFL USF relationship.

Just another shiny object. More of a sports wagering / fantasy football opportunity than anything else.

Where will they practice? I wouldn’t think at the Bucs facility.   USF would be perfect especially if the football Center is up.   USF could get some nice rent money

Just read the Houston franchise will be playing at UH and using there practice facilities.  They also said that the Tampa team won’t practice at the Bucs facility.   I wonder how much rent USF can get from the using our facility.

The XFL has already agreed to and put a deposit down to play at Raymond James. That being said, USF could make some money renting their facilities to the Tampa team to practice at.

Most of these stadium rental agreements have out clauses. USF has one with Raymond James. I'm sure that the new XFL franchise does as well. Thus if this new XFL franchise were to allied it's self with USF towards building a nice 45k seat stadium to which they would share expenses, I'm sure that could be made viable to both parties. Not to mention they could both gain extra revenue when the facilities are leased out for special events such as concerts and the like.

I can't imagine the XFL wanting to play at USF.  I could be wrong, but Ray Jay just seems like a better location.
