I disagree that we have the same level of talent as UCF-- they have depth, size, and speed that we are lacking. I wish that were not the case but just saying we are their equals does not make it true.

I’m talking about on the offense of side of the ball USF has athletes everywhere  biggest difference was coaching and offensive scheme

you realize that the only reason CCS ignored these problems and kept Gilbert around the entire season was to have a scape goat to fire at the end of the season to save his own job, get his own raise from the school and continue for one more season at USF. Had he cut him earlier-- the fact that he is failing at leading this club would be much more obvious.

to hell with natural progression - we need accountability.

You do realize that I'm not a fan of Strong, right? Sometimes you have to give people the rope to hang themselves. And strong is doing just that, which will make Kelly's decision look better in the public's eye.

also-- no one would blame USF for cutting ties. Just like no one would have called out CCS if he got hired away. He was a band aid when we needed a coach to take the reigns-- none of us were thinking "oh boy-- our coach for the next 15 years!". Like someone said-- you either win and get hired away or you part ways and find another place to go.

Bingo....this is all Strong was a short term big name coach for cheap low risk possible high reward.

1.If he was great we get great results knowing he would get hired away...or maybe we could find some money to maybe keep him a little longer.

2. If he was bad like at Texas well since they were paying him we could get rid of him for cheap within a few years.

As it turned out he was number two...just a bad coach.

Firing Strong nobody will blame us...we looked horrible for most of this season.. it makes Strong look bad as that will be two programs he failed at.

The public doesn’t know the difference between ucf and USF, so who cares what they think. Anyone with eyes has already seen enough to justify ccs firing. The team is not trending up, and he underachieved pretty much his entire head coaching career

Lol, TBP can dog me all you want, but mark my words, a complete shake up is not the answer. Unless we want another 2-4+ years of rebuilding the winningest period in USF football history.

I’m not dogging on. You have your reasons for wanting him around. I just thought that meme was fitting. I know not everyone wants him fired, but at least you have the guts to put it out there. I just know I want him canned.

Generally I would agree but no so much in this conference. With the right offensive minded coach turnarounds can be quick...ucf is one example. The parts are here it’s just using them correctly. Even this team got 7 wins.
