Strong isn't making this team better they look worse...if we didn't have BB at qb we might have only won a few games all year.

Strong is as bad as Holtz maybe even worse actually as a coach.

I want to clean the house as much as the next guy, but doing so will set us back even further. Our program needs stability, which we haven't seen in a decade.

I agree, but who in their right mind would step into this firestorm? 10-2 and 7-5 isn't good enough... Who would take that job? Trust me, I expect excellence, but Kelly has to be very careful with his decisions.

We need to keep Strong on a short leash, but firing him will accomplish nothing.

A lot of young coaches would take the opportunity to coach in Florida and make more money.

our program is broke and our fans are not happy. We risk losing our base fans if we keep going in the same direction under CCS. He has had plenty of chances to fix this issue all season long-- what has he done? NOT A DAM THING. Now he talks about changes on offense? Oh joy-- where was that 10 games ago?

Look- fans are not stupid. We watch these games and analyze what is going on.We can see the problems in the play calling very obviously. Why is CCS ignoring this? That is a failure on his part.

I don't need a "name" coach to make me feel good about my program-- I need one who gives a dang how things are working and tries hard all the  time---including in the games. taking a knee in a game you are winning or even winning shows you have ZERO confidence in your team on all levels.

ugh-- never mind-- protect CCS -- we'll never find another grumpy clown to stand on our sidelines otherwise.

I'm not protecting Strong by any means, but there is a natural progression that needs to be followed. It's a chess game not Dodge ball.

100% agree. An OC from a P5 school would jump at an opportunity to lead a team of their own. They know they have to start somewhere and USF is a great launching pad for just that.

Talent-rich area, semi-soft schedule, and some university name recognition. That’s the sell in my mind at least.

Not sure why anyone thinks we will ever have stability in the aac. Either our coach will get fired, or if he does well a P5 team will steal them away. That’s how the aac works. Also there are tons of young offensive coordinators who would take our job as head coach and the pay raise that comes with it. Winners aren’t afraid of that.

you realize that the only reason CCS ignored these problems and kept Gilbert around the entire season was to have a scape goat to fire at the end of the season to save his own job, get his own raise from the school and continue for one more season at USF. Had he cut him earlier-- the fact that he is failing at leading this club would be much more obvious.

to hell with natural progression - we need accountability.

Only thing ccs is good at is excuses.
