Not the easiest situation for Chris O. getting his first start: on the road, cold weather, against a good defense. Clearly he's no Tom Brady, but the deep pass to Clerveaux is probably caught if the defender isn't pulling on Clerveaux's left arm before and while the ball is arriving. McCants dropped a potential nice gainer that was right in his hands. Saloman had a drop. His scrambling ability isn't quite what I thought it would be. Having said that, I went with BB.

As bad as we are we need the bowl if for no other reason than to get the young players more practice time.  Plus, I have a strange feeling we’ll end up playing Miami in the Gasparilla Bowl, if they can eek out 1 more win.

I heard Cure Bowl against Appalachian State

If the football gods want a sell out for a bowl game, this would be it.

In my opinion, the biggest thing working against CO is that he's not very good at passing. Also, he's not very fast. If he can just start making better throws and get a little quicker, he'll be a much better dual-threat QB.

4th stringer (not enough appearances to qualify).

He still may look the best.

The McCants "drop" was way underthrown.  He could have and probably should have caught it, but the terrible underthrow allowed the defender to get back and make a play.  Even the one where the defender was holding the guys arm was underthrown

Why so funny?

seems pretty rare for any bowl game to ever sell out save the ones featuring huge team fan bases. It could be the Gators against Miami and not sell out.
