Maybe distant cousins.

How many 5-6 yards curls have we ran in the last 2 games? The corners for Houston were sitting on them in the 4th Q and Tulane was sitting on them in the 2H. Our WRs were making contested catches with DBs draped on their backs based on sheer talent. We even had an OPI just trying to run the route because the corner was biting all over it and we had to play defense. If this is a core concept, fine. But mix in a stop and go to keep the defense honest. Don’t think the OL can block long enough to stech the field? How about a HB screen to keep the ends honest. We are trying to be a power run team with finesse blockers and backs. What’s your solution to fix this? Bring in an extra RB and run the triple option. This is a HS version of the Veer & Shoot. The counter move is not a part of the offense. 5 minutes ago, IBulleve said: My biggest problem with the current offense is the elementary level mistakes in playcalling.
