LSU still has the best wins this season.

I haven't seen a CFP game yet or the NC.  I try to cancel my playstation vue after the main bowl season and before the playoffs.

I rarely watch any games that don't include USF.  The only P5 vs. P5 games I watch is if the outcome affects USF

UCF winning 20 in a row and beating Auburn last year means jack. Their D has taken a significant step back. Same thing w us winning 10 last year.. impressive, but just about all of those playmakers are gone.

That may be true, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't be at least competitive against any P5 team. They have also had a weak schedule this year, but winning 20 in a row is still impressive even though I hate them with everything in me.

I mean 4-3 Iowa State? Really?

That was a definite head scratcher there.

Their job is to provide the 4 best teams and I would have to say that they have the correct 4 teams in this initial poll.

It’s the way we lost. We have played with fire all season, as mentioned many times before we let every team have a record running game against us and allowing a program high points scored against us is not sitting well in the eyes of the voters.

I'd like to see 6 team playoff...

Top 2 seeds get a bye in round 1.

5 Power-5 conference champions and top ranked Group-5 team, minimum rank 20. If no Group-5 team is in the top 20, then the spot goes to the highest ranked P5 who didn't win their conference.

The part where bias will come into play is them taking UCF for example and ranking them 21.

With all of these "[Insert Name Here] has got to go" threads, I figured I would start one with the only thing that I believe really needs to go, and that is the current College Football Playoff system. In our current society of inclusion, how is it that a system can be so biased against a specific group of people or teams (G5 teams) and get away with it? I mean 4-3 Iowa State? Really?

They can get away with it because we, the G5, agreed to it.

Expand the playoff to 8 teams, the five P5 champions, highest ranked G5 champion, and 2 at large bids. Then there's no debate, no bias. The best teams will be in.

You may get that sooner, rather than later.

Let's say the following scenario occurs:

Clemson, ND, and Georgia win out. Alabama wins out in the regular season, but loses to Georgia in the SEC Championship.

You'd have to think that the 4 teams in the playoff would be Clemson, ND, Georgia, and Alabama. I would believe that having 3 P5 conferences left out would be enough to get the ball rolling towards the 8 team playoff.

That's my dream scenario!
