Let's say the following scenario occurs: Clemson, ND, and Georgia win out. Alabama wins out in the regular season, but loses to Georgia in the SEC Championship. You'd have to think that the 4 teams in the playoff would be Clemson, ND, Georgia, and Alabama. I would believe that having 3 P5 conferences left out would be enough to get the ball rolling towards the 8 team playoff. John, I’m holding out hoping for thst as AAC deserves a more fair shot than what we have right now Edited October 31, 2018 by Bull Daly

The best way for an 8 team playoff would be each P5 champion gets an automatic bid, the best G5 champion gets 1 slot, and 2 at large from the P5. Under the 4 team playoff the G5 has a 0% chance to get in.

USF needs to focus on winning the East of AAC. Baby steps. Winning the East would be a surprise to me as I was expected Gasparilla Bowl going into this season
