So I'm breezing through all the college hoops preview mags in the grocery store the other day and the concensus is that we have the last-place team in the AAC - AND UCF is the favorite to win it. When will this punishment ever end?

Yes, it will. CBG has us heading in the right direction. I think we will really surprise some people this season. I'm thinking a .500 or so overall record with 4 or 5 conference wins is possible.

This is spot on. I’ll take .500 which means more times than not I’ll watch with the understanding that we have a decent chance of winning the game. I predict we get one major upset this year too.

Why does that team to the east seem to have their sports department in order and we always seem to be floundering except for a few sports?

Unfortunate hiring decisions.  I think that has been corrected, however, and think the CBG will do great things here.  As a long-time ticket STM, it was refreshing to see the team play last year despite the record.  They never gave up and were exciting to watch.

As mentioned, this coming season will be even better and the following year may be pretty special.

They're pressing the easy button by calling us last--to say anything else would require analysis & effort. Let em talk.

I think hoops takes another step forward this year, and surprises some people. We may not be ready to make the tourney, but I think we are on the rise. .500 never sounded so good

I think that is doable, but it may not keep us out of the AAC cellar
