I’m ok with the D as long as they keep holding the opponent to less points than we score.

Wrong thread ...

I don't know but, I think I read here on this board that UF is always over rated.

This team has taken on it's coach's personality. They play with very little intensity. We never put lesser teams away. It was the same last year and it's the same again this year.

We get it. You don't care for CCS's coaching style but please stop making **** up. Teams put away under Charlie here:

2018 Umass - 3 td lead early in 4th

2017 SJSU - 3 td lead going into 4th

2017 Illinois - 4 td lead going into 4th

2017 Temple - 4 td lead going into 4th

2017 ECU - 3 td lead early in 4th

2017 Cincy - 4 td lead going into 4th

2017 UConn - 4 td lead going into 4th

I'm assuming you have a different definition of "putting away" but all those games were over going into, or early into, the 4th quarter ...

I can put a lack of fire on the players, not the coach. Someone needs to step up in the locker room and inject fire... I don’t need my head coach losing his ****.. I’d like that fire to come from the players

who gives the motivational pregame speeches?

teams take on their coach's personality. Taggart's offense played with swagger. Leavitt's defense played with their hair on fire. Low T holtz had his choir boys ready for church.

Last year we had a ton of vocal senior leadership and they’re gone and no one has stepped up in to that role on this team and is shows.

we started plenty of games flat last year. it is a coach's job to motivate and have a team mentally prepared to play especially when it comes to 18-22 year old young men.

Who is defined how? No one said it should be the coaches

Team lacks leadership from upperclassmen. We  obviously cannot rely on CCS or the staff to get the players hyped, so some players are going to have to step up.

To me, motivated/hyped is completely different from mentally prepared. Coaches should be responsible for mentally preparing the team, ie game plan, etc. If a player isn't motivated or hyped to play a game, especially at this level, that's on the player ... and there are times when it totally makes sense that one's not, especially games like UMass.

I agree d needs to tighten up if USF   plans to go undefeated this year. Can’t keep playing catch up or hope they can trade touchdown for touchdown
