Last season this board bitched (complained) its way to a 10-2 regular season record.  Where we should have won the Houston game and were in it til the end of the UCF game.

Keep complaining if you want to (granted there are issues with this team), but ultimately wins are what really matters (unless you're Alabama, Ohio State, and apparently, VaTech) and that's what we've done so far.

Yes, a win is a win, but it’s like this team just continues to play sloppy ball on offense under CS. We didn’t beat a team with a pulse last season because of this sloppiness, and it’s the same story this year. There has been no improvement and it worries me.

I hope it isn't deja vu all over again because last year the complainers ended up being right and we watched a loss to a Houston team we had no business losing to

Everybody was worried about the defense and in reality, they get the stops needed.. When our offense is in rhythm, nobody can stop us. I have faith in this team.

It is weird, it is almost like the other teams (coaches and players) are doing everything they can to win the games we play with them and they are exposing our weaknesses.

I think, instead of all the trouble with game where there is a significant chance of injury they teams can line up during the coin toss and compare stars.  The team with the most can be declared the winner.

Personally, it would save me a lot of time and money.  I might even lose a pound or two skipping that beer and BBQ.

Folks, let us see how good of a coach Strong is.  If this team improves, which it needs to do in a lot of areas (kicking, etc.) then we will have a good record.  Barnett does not have a lot of game experience so I am not surprised we saw the performance we did on Saturday.   Also, the injuries seem to be pretty significant.

Typically there are no gimmes. Every once in a while, you get surprised and you get a blowout and as a fan you enjoy those.

I expect every game on our schedule to be a challenge. I think many underestimate ECU based on their record last year. But I think of Herm Edwards old press conference when we play teams we think should be a cake-walk. Each team will "Play to WIN the game".

Correct, we are winning.  Correct, we are complaining.  What's not so black and white about it is that we know the potential of this team and what the talent we have is capable of.  A lot of us are complaining because we want to see our team improve.  A win is a win in the books, but at 4-0 there's also a chance we would be ranked if we weren't playing in close games week after week. At some point if we continue this "let a team hang around" trend then we'll come across a team that takes advantage of it.

More like this season when they opened up with a loss to an FCS school.  Based on past history not many teams go on to have legitimately good season after a start like that.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
