Idk how there was a qb battle. Chris looked better today. Hope this wasn’t a fluke by either player. In the future I hope Chris can get more reps in.

Yes, I hope we are up by 50 in the 4th quarter frequently

CO is fast.

Glad Barnett is here.

Kean looks 3rd string.

Wondering how there was ever s competition at QB unless they didnt want kean and O transferring out?

Thought the same thing. After seeing Barnett tonight, I don't see how it could have been as close as they wanted us to believe.

Kean did not impress but we need him. We need OC. Injuries happen and you need guys with experience ready to go. Even if they are not great in some inconsequential FCS warm up game-- they are the backups. ased on what I saw tonight though- yeah, OC is #2, Kean is 3rd. Things change though-- people can improve. You just never know what is going on with an athlete. But blathering on about how he is gone or will transfer-- how exactly is that helpful to the program?

Usually you bring in a new qb and you give him a few short pass completions to get him going.  They bring him in and first play is a qb run and the next 2, he throws deep.  He was inaccurate later in the game, but the play-calling didn't help his confidence at the beginning.  Glad we have Barnett, but if he goes down, bye bye season.

The fact that Kean came in second stands to reason that he would be the second QB on the chart, right?  If so, we are in trouble.

I think you can say that about most college teams when the starting QB goes down.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
