The App State win over Mich was worse anyway.  If for no other reason than it showcased the big play ability of one Dexter Jackson and he was able to parlay that into the 2nd Round pick (58 overall) of my beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  I'm still convinced that Jon Gruden thought he was drafting DeSean Jackson .....  🤮

The moral to my story is pretty much every coach that has record breaking FBS losses and that have 2-10 seasons doesn’ get to miracle their way to a third season, they get fired that very season and rarely get to coach again. CWT is lucky he got to coach long enough here where he was able to turn things around just as lucky as we are that he turned it around. I’m sure if skippy poo had his choice he wouldn’t have gotten fired after going 3-9, had he been given enough years he may have managed to win a season and if he was smart enough to bolt following his only successful season he may have parlayed that success into a new job. That CWT was given more time by following on the heels of bad does not some how make him better than any other one hit wonder, at some point you need to string together some hits before you start thinking you’re the Beatles.

Shouldn’t this be a new thread?

I would prefer you be more quantitative in your statement. I think all you've shown is that 2 out of the last 3 coaches with record breaking FBS losses get fired.

Depends on where you'd put the new thread.

Please no, maintaining my outrage on this thread is exhausting enough. If I have to spend more time expressing  my anger on here my wife is going to file for divorce, if she hasn’t already.

This thread is touching.  Reminds of my parting conversation with Willie:

Me: “I hope you find what you’re looking for at Oregon.”

Willie: “I will.”

Touché. I will try to do more research.

That was a long way to travel to find a path to FSU, I’m sure that 7-5 record there really sealed the deal for him.
