Texas lost to an unranked team and had a worse season than us last year. We finished with a better record than them and beat Texas Tech who beat them and is in their conference.  Please honestly explain how they deserved to be ranked over us. The only thing is they come from a p5 conference.

Texas won't be ranked next week.  Who cares?  We beat Elon 34-14.  Beat GT next week and then you can talk.  We didn't deserve to be ranked over anybody (other than FAU)

Yup. Ranked just high enough to get into that 3rd tier bowl game.

Go undefeated and you got a shot at NYD.  If you can't run the table and win the AAC why would you deserve better than a 3rd tier bowl?

That’s the kind of perception that gets us in trouble. Every conference has good and bad teams. Why does being in the AAC mean that only 1 team is entitled to a quality bowl? As a conference we may have two or three teams that should get a decent bowl game, or season the entire conference might not be worth ****. But you can’t justify giving a 3 or 4 loss team a decent bowl and giving us crap just because they are P5. That is horse kaka. If they are D1 and we are D1 we should all get equal treatment.

There are bowl tie ins and the quality of conferences matters.  That Texas Tech someone was bragging about beating in the bowl game was 3-6 last year in the Big 12.  They were terrible in what was overall an average p5 conferences and we edged them out with one of our best teams ever
