This is a really bad basketball team and it feels like any turnaround won’t involve this AD, coach or players.

The games I've been to this year, the problems are mostly talent and cohesion. And with the turnover at the end of the season through attrition and graduation, most of these players aren't going to be part of the turnaround if it does happen.

Just to clarify, that was said with tongue firmly planted in cheek as a poke at one of our board "experts" who said the team had quit on their coach after the first half of the last ECU game .... an incredibly stupid statement and not something that should be thrown around lightly. The team's just not good enough for conference play. They show flashes but those lengthy droughts are killer.

Hell I’d take 5 or 6 conference wins even. It would be the first time since the big east split.

Look, they suck. We all knew that coming into this year. They more than likely will not win another game all season but this is the first step that has to be taken. Simply put, other than the two freeman (who make freshmen mistakes), the talent level is terrible. I know it has been frustrating as it seems like we have gone through for many years, I do think we have the right guy at coach. Will he put the team over the top? Maybe. But if not, he will leave the program in a better place than the others. Which will be a nice place to be in.
