USF switching to Adidas?

Per USFColin of the TDS he mentioned during his farewell column that "To not have to cache everything I say. Like how Under Armour is out and Adidas is in next year. I’m like 98+% sure it’s true, but before, I had to be responsible about this. Now I can just say “I’m like really sure, but it’s also not totally done yet.” There, I said it. Hooray!" 

I hope this isn't true. Not a fan at all of Adidas and their apparel

In my opinion this is a good thing.  

Adidas>UA.  UA is struggling to perform as a company, sneakers haven’t picked up like they’d like, and kids (recruits/players) prefer Adidas to UA.  Also, if we are changing there has to be more $.

Obviously Nike is king, but I’m fine with this.

If it equals more dollars I think it makes sense for the University. I do like the design of UA but they are severely underachieving in the basketball department and I don't think kids care as much on the football side as far as brands go. I don't want to be the next Louisville but if Adidas helps in Basketball recruiting and gives us more money I think it's a no brainer.

That sucks.  I was pissed when I got to USF in '09 and they had just switched from Nike to UA but I really came around and started to like them.  Not a fan of Adidas at all but they wouldn't do it if it weren't better for the school.

Shieeettttt (in the words of Clay Davis from the wire lol) Under Armour needs to take advantage of that clip where McCants drags a defender 20 yards and make that a commercial showing how tough their jerseys are lol

I don't think the clothing companies have anything to do with the helmets.

I know they don't supply the helmet but i'm sure they have a say in the design and how it gets paired with the uniform

A lot of people out here think Adidas just destroyed the ASU uniform and line of fan gear.  Replacing Nike was not well thought of.  

Adidas has some growing popularity and replacing UA won’t be as big as replacing Nike.  

I like the UA stuff.

I like UA. But if Adidas means more money, I like Adidas.
