People forget that UCF was only up by three when Navy had the ball at midfield and fumbled late in the game.

If not for that, UCF may very well have lost.

UCF may be ranked higher than us when the CFP poll comes out. 

 

They are beatable. They haven't played anyone with a defense yet. They were not so impressive. Their "good" wins against a mediocre Maryland.  Mediocre Memphis and a mediocre Navy.  Just makes them better than mediocre. 

Navy is ok, but lost their QB.  

There were several games that were close, too close for comfort last year people just choose to forget.

You guys can keep up the UCF envy if it makes you happy.  We are still rolling

Tulane only lost to Navy by 2 on the road earlier this year, the same Navy that played well against UCF yesterday. I think Tulane isn't a bad team and to be up 34-7 on the road against them shows that this team has what it takes, and now we know we have to play all 4 quarters.

Navy turned the ball over 3 times and lost their starting QB in the 3rd quarter and still had a shot to win towards the end. I think the key for us to beat UCF will be having good time of possession and not turning the ball over.  We need to keep our defense fresh to avoid giving up the big play, Killins terrifies me in the way Mack and Adams used to terrify other teams in that he can score from anywhere. Also getting a few interceptions from our secondary would be huge, Milton has thrown a pick against each of the best 3 teams they've played. 

Every game so far this year we've come in expecting to win and the team seems to lack that hunger from the past 2 years. The UCF game will be the first game of the year where people will be projecting us to lose, it could be the homer in me but I think the players will come out hungry and pissed off as underdogs. At this point i'm more worried about the players looking ahead towards UCF and slipping up in one of these last 3 games, UCONN on the road in November could be ugly. Right now the high for that day is projected to be 54 degrees.

Won't happen. I predict UCF at 19 and USF at 15.  Miami and Wisconsin in the top 10 is an absolute joke.
