Don't be surprised if UCF is ranked higher than USF next week

I kind of hope UCF is ranked better than us going toward. It should provide for more focus. No way this is not the case with the committee next week. After next week the coaches and AP polls become irrelevant

Polls are nice, but garbage.  No measure of anything really other than who has lost since the uninformed, speculative preseason polls.

With that said. It's better to have a number left of your name than not.  Deserved or not.  It's nice.

I don't think ucf will be ranked higher than us, but if so...so be it. We need to be focused on Houston.

I don't think it matters because of the game we will play, but the committee will put them higher than us in their first rankings. The A.P. will roll with us because of our pre season rank and the fact that we are undefeated. They might end up with us both on the cusp of the top ten. One with them one spot above us,and the other with us one spot ahead of them.

In my eyes a win-win. Obviously would loved to be ranked higher however it just means a win over them is that much more impressive (if we all keep winning). Could be a top 10 match-up, biggest game in our history.

It's still a conference game with a foe we have beaten more often than not.  We have some artificial numbers in front of our names, eh.  It's not a "championship game".  It's just another game - except for the newly created trophy that goes with it.  It won't push the brand any further forward when the fight at the kids table has a victor.

I can-t think of a more nightmarish scenario than a perfect season, our best chance at a conference champion ship, and a spot in a NY6 being ruined by ucf.

Well, this is true for UCF too if we both remain undefeated.
