We need to be focused on Houston. Realtimerpi.com has us 13 to their 17, but the Massey Composite has them 11 to our 23...

We have some artificial numbers in front of our names, eh. It's not a "championship game". It's just another game - except for the newly created trophy that goes with it. It won't push the brand any further forward when the fight at the kids table has a victor. Agreed perhaps it won't push our profile as high as some of our past wins, but this late in the season with a potential new years bowl on the line, against a ranked arch-enemy, I'd say it has to be our biggest. Can't get upset even if they end up passing us. They have looked more complete than we have and they have two good wins. I think the playoff committee will rank them ahead of us initially, and we will fall back into the 20s whenever they do their initial poll. As they've always said, SoS is one of the biggest factors when deciding on rankings. Now, imagine them leaving us unranked lol. We'd be in the teens in both the AP/Coaches, only not ranked at all in the playoff poll. Would kind of be funny in a way.

It would be very strange for them to legitimately keep an 8-0 team (if USF loses to Houston at home all bets are off) from the American out of the top 25. They wouldn’t make any sense, especially if logically the path to the NY6 AQ would run between USF/UCF winner and the AAC West champion.

We have beaten everyone we've played.
