If we keep winning none of this matters!

None of this matters now. What matters is what the Committee thinks and we may need some help even if we do keep winning ...

UCF has no bye weeks left. I can’t see them running the table. It’s hard enough to do with a week off here and there. They will be worn down by Black Friday.

Flowers will make this year awesome. Grothe torched the gnats. Flowers will do the same.

I am hopeful of this. The UCF defense isn't bad,but the offense has yet to face a defense with a pulse. They got their own version of ECU'g with Hayden Moore doing some surprising things last week. I don't think Flowers is going to throw for 300 yard and five TDs this week, but a 200/200 game could be in the cards.

As for winning close games, this team has done it plenty of times. Does anyone remember Flowers pretty much single-handedly winning the game against Memphis on his own last year? or Auggie Sanchez just STOPPING an SMU Player who had all the momentum with the tackle of death? Let's not forget USF pinned up UCF-LAST YEAR by getting quick turnovers in the third/fourth quarter to seal the deal. This team knows how to win close games and they haven't even played their best ball yet.

San Jose State and Stony Brook were games that they had to show some resilience.  I'll be happy going up by 21 in the 1st quarter and coasting in upcoming games until we get to UCF.

The article just shows how much football the writers are watching. They most likely didn't see those games and are writing on on dictate, or shooting from the hip.

... What happens when this run of 20-30 point wins comes to a halt and USF finds itself in a close game?

We'll find that out if we get a NY6 Bowl :)

The simple fact that UCiF could lose to a Navy team that is not on past with last year's Navy team is telling. All of those qualifiers... We don't have competition in the AAC this year. Plain and simple.

Only way we lose is if we literally do not show up. This team is hungry, aggressive, and talented. No one is taking this from us. Even if we have to defy the football Gods themselves,  we will not be denied!!!

And now there are only 12 with Clemson losing @Syracuse.

This article never even mentioned THAT possibility. LOL

3. Clemson Tigers (6-0)

Toughest game remaining: at NC State Wolfpack (Nov. 4)

Why they could win them all: Because Florida State Seminoles is down this year and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets game is at home. The program depth on display this year at Clemson is not just a compliment to talent acquisition but also talent development. Blue-chip prospects like Christian Wilkins , Dexter Lawrence and Travis Etienne play right away, but the team is anchored by veterans like Dorian O’Daniel , who spent a couple years in the program and have emerged as stars later in the career. That balance of raw talent and leadership is something every coach strives to achieve because it keeps Clemson in check during the grueling path to a title.

Why they could lose: The path to a 28-2 record across 2015 and 2016 included a lot of close, nail-biting wins and a shootout loss to Pittsburgh Panthers at home. Clemson is the closest thing we have to seeing a team “clutch gene” in college football, but if outcomes start flipping in these close games, there’s a loss hiding later in the schedule. NC State had a 33-yard field goal attempt to beat Clemson last year and missed it before losing in overtime, and it’s gotten even better since that 2016 meeting. Florida State and Georgia Tech are tough outs, but beating the Wolfpack might be the last big hurdle for the Tigers going 12-0.
