Not really.  Given depth at the respective positions, I think this injury is more difficult for us to compensate for.

October 24th:

INJURY UPDATE: Strong said Tuesday that freshman LB Keirston Johnson, sidelined since taking a hard shot to the chest against Temple, has practiced on a limited basis this week. Whether he plays Saturday against Houston remains uncertain.

"He practiced Sunday; we came out and did some walk-through. He practiced a little today," Strong said.

"He took a hit here in the chest, so we're just trying to make sure that if he takes another one that he's gonna be able to take it. We haven't had a chance to hit him there, we're not gonna hit him there. We won't know until we put him out there in the game."

That's big news for our thin LB Corps.. He was playing well prior to his injury. Hopefully he doesn't injure it again and not only lose out on this year but lose out on his Medical Redshirt.

He legitimately might be the 3rd best MLB on the team. I only use the term MLB because technically Reaves is a LB too. Bayes has been a disappointment and Danny Thomas flashes but has been inconsistent

I didnt even see Danny Thomas get in the game last week.  Khalid Mcgee was the first off the bench. Something was going on with our LB depth last week.
