I just feel like this offense is going to bite us in the *** at some point.

I hope it's just Gilbert calling a conservative game considering the score. this seems like an easy offense to stop. last year I felt we could score at will. this year not so much. we need to use our speed to our advantage. attack the edges. use misdirection. Gilbert is predictable This. We were sweating Stony Brook because we only rushed for 153 yards. If someone like Houston, UCF or (potentially) Memphis can shut down our inside running game this offense is in trouble.

We can't out-athlete good teams. Houston and Memphis would both have beaten us tonight.

UCLA has NO defense so no way Memphis would have gone up and down the field on us like that. Further, Memphis has a terrible D. As far as Houston your statement is more accurate but their offense is not gangbusters either. It would be a defensive game for sure.

Last night was the first game we fully committed to the inside running game, probably because of the opponent, and it worked out just fine. Flowers dropped the snap twice and missed WRs and we still have too many dropped passes.
