Wasn't Wisconsin just moved, as of now? Are you thinking of Michigan State ...

I saw Wisconsin on the schedule.  I think you are right on Michigan State.

Sorry, was working from memory, and knew one of the two canceled. Sadly, I fear Wisconsin may follow Michigan State, because both games had the same weak buy out, from a business stand point, it is worth the cash to buy out of the Tampa trip. (of course there are other factors .... recruiting and doing the right thing)

My point in mentioning Clemson as one of the toughest places to play is that, if USF were to play there, it would be the toughest stadium they've been in outside of Ben Hill Griffin.

There are tough places to play and then there are tough places to play against teams that are rolling.  If we were to play at Clemson this season it would be the latter because they have everything rolling over the last few years.  Teams like Alabama and Ohio State right now, we haven't played anybody like these powerhouses at their best.  Most of our tough road wins were against mediocre teams.  FSU wasn't very good at that point, ND was a bit of a mess as was Miami.  In my opinion we haven't really beaten a great team on the road.  Auburn was probably the best but they weren't great.  That QB Cox wasn't very good.

At this point I'd take a pay game at Ohio State but not sure about anyone else east of the Mississippi.  Screw the SEC.  I really wish we could get a 1 for 1 with our old friends Louisville.  GO BULLS!

Closest would probably have been our 2006 win over a top 10 WVU team ...

At this point, all we can dop is hope that Houston, Tulsa, and /or Temple is ranked by the time we play them.

Um that Auburn team beat the future champions Florida that year.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
