CCS said something like Nadleman(sp) coming off an injury and didn't want him trying to hit one into the wind.

Heard that. But we do have a backup kicker - would've been nice to see him try it.

Yep ... and it also would have been nice to give the emergency punter, whoever that is, a few of those Hernandez kicks.

Expect willie to be an asst under harbaugh in 3 years, wherever that may be

Many people and probably you didnt think he would of turned USF around and he did. Every team he has coached at had success b4 he left.....so how is it that you are so sure he will fail?  Now he has a top 20 recruiting class, an all star assistant staff and a lot of momentum at Oregon. Not sure his failure is that garunteed.

I'm a little paranoid the offense has taken a major step back. I saw it the way the reporter did who called it "vanilla".

I wouldn't be...did u see our offense last year? It wasn't the most complicated scheme in CFB.

I am concerned with trying to run up the gut so often though...our strength is usually speed not power

We ran up the gut a lot the past few seasons.  It's the reason the outside plays worked.  Look at the highlights from Mack and Johnson... lots of runs up the middle.  Can't be afraid of every new thing.  This offense put of 35 a game at UT with a true freshman QB and had a 2k runner...

I like Tice best going north-south.  He gashed some yds in Spring Game.  Will be tougher obviously, but if we can get chunks like that, I'll signup. The new Mack seemed less dancy than the old Mack. We look like hard-nosed rock pounders in the making.  Mix in some edge or outside speed and we might be tough to contain.

All that matters is QBR.  And lord knows our QB doesn't have the strongest arm.

Glad you brought that up ... Don't know if there was ever anything posted on where QF finished last year:

1 Baker Mayfield, OKLA                 92.9
2 Sam Darnold, USC               86.8
3 Quinton Flowers, USF               86.5
