The important question, will Joe Kinnan remain the offensive consultant? Don't think at this point in his life he moves to Oregon.

Joe could still call in the plays to slick Willie using his smart phone. I'm not sure he is retained.  I have never heard of a high school coach being an "offensive consultant" for a college football team, they do get jobs as position coaches and move up the ladder.

He is not just a highschool coach. He ran clinics for college coaches to run  a run spread offense.

I thought it was a joke.  Of course Kinnan is gone.  I can't see needing that lifeline any longer.  Kinnan is probably relieved.

On offense I want to keep whoever coaches the blocking and designs the plays...

Joe is a little different than most high school coaches. Mega successful at Manatee HS he was called in by a couple of major schools (Nebraska and Auburn plus others) to tweak their offenses. Remember also he was in the running to be USF's first coach.

I was going to comment on this earlier...the play design downfield - specifically the blocking - has been perhaps the best I've seen at USF.  Our guys will lay it out for their teammate.  QF blocks for MM.  Barr responded to a blocking need.  That diamond the receivers set up in always seems to have blocking at both first and second level.  Love it.

If Strong is going to bring a Briles guy on it's not going to be a hard transition.  The offense will have a lot of similarities and those guys are having success in year one implementing that offense.

If Strong was seriously thinking of keeping anyone I think it would've leaked out by now.  And dont forget Taggart may want to hire some of the current staff too.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
