I saw it, but I don't think it was due to the offense scoring too fast. I think it had more to do with the sucking. It's not like the D was gassed in the 2nd QTR.

This.

Not getting off blocks, getting drove 6yds down the field, and missing tackles in the first half of the game has nothing to do with being tired. Especially against teams like Temple and FSU that aren't tempo teams.  If he can just fix the defense's fundamentals and get them to play more aggressive they can get off the field 3 or so more times a game and get some rest.

The D couldn't stop anyone because they sucked.  Not because the O was going too fast.  Alabama can score 80 points a game and their offense be the fastest offense in the country, but their defense is still going to stop people no matter how fast their offense is going.  Because they are just good.

If the defense wants rest periods, simply get the opposing offense off the field in 3 plays.

We don't need 55 points to win with a more balanced attack. Give me a slower offense and a shut down defense. We can win games 21 to 3.

The problem is that our great advantage is speed. Coach T simplified the offense and put kids in position to use their God given abilities.  It is an advantage we should continue to use and not trying to score to protect the defense is foolish. The dfense needs to be aggressive and stop playing this zone dont bend dont break. Drives me absolutely nuts.

As long as we're winning, I'd rather win 55-54 than 21-3
