I showed up and I live in Atlanta. Can't speak for the losers who didn't show up. Hard truth is that playing Towson is not exciting for the community no matter how many TDs you score.

Yup, I made the trip down from Jacksonville too.  We didn't play Towson every week and were a good and entertaining product.  Quit making excuses for this community.  USF will never move up until the community supports the program when a good product is on the field.  College football is about making a brand and if the fans don't do their part we will ALWAYS be in the minor league.  It's time to grow up about and quit making excuses.

Chicken or the egg? This sends a signal to the community that we are not even remotely a big time college football program. Beating FSU might have meant something but I don't think beating NIU has the same buzz factor locally.

The fans/alums have to do their part, period.  The lame excuses don't matter.

Funny how the players are more mature then the people on this board.

Did the community do their part when he was doing his?  You could tell he was visibly frustrated when asked about fan support/attendance by the press.  He put an exciting and winning product on the field and the community didn't show up.

I agree but reality is reality. I could see why a casual fan would choose other things over this product. That is even with our fantastic marketing and on the field performance.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. We are in need of some serious introspection--enough with the external excuses.

I was thinking the same thing. Shows Taggart did a good job developing them to be resilient, independent and respectful as opposed to petty, envious cry babies.

Wish him the best, wish he would have stayed to win a Championship.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
