Unfortunately I think it will take a big win to really get the locals attention.

We really blew it with that FSU game.

Or... The AAC needs to take some risks and gamble on a better media deal

and look at other routes to get more money to our schools.

This conference should be worth (at least) double what they are paying

1.  Be undefeated.  I bet if we went 4-0, 5-0, 6-0, etc. there would be more people showing up for every game as we came closer to running the table.  After one loss, however, we'd be back to just the same old die-hards.

It sounds silly, but being undefeated and/or having a big win is what gets ESPN talking about rankings, new years bowls, etc.  We don't have a potential "big" win on our schedule next year, and we blew our chance this year with FSU.  Only possible choice it to run the table.  Casual Tampa fans will come out for an undefeated team.  They'll even by a shirt or a hat cause USF would be "cool' again.

KInd of sad that is has to be this way, but I think it would work.

Another 10+ win season; championship title; more media coverage... more national recognition

Find ways to get out of this conference

Increasing the attendance will probably be necessary if we are to ever get out of this conference. We could be ranked to start next season, and have a Heisman candidate in Flowers. Exciting offense for sure again next year. As far as marketing goes, we definitely have something to work with. Just a shame that this team, after a 10 win season with our best offense ever, still seems largely under the radar even in the Bay area. Never a better time to lock in some new fans. Just have to find a way to get them there.

Remember last year when the Big 10 approved Cincinnati and Uconn as P5 caliber opponents but not USF. What a joke!

We are basically ruled out from future Big 10 schedules.

This is a great thread topic. I so wish I had a good answer here. Anyway to make the tickets dirt cheap for one year to get families to the game? I guess this is already possible on Stub Hub but tie it with an aggressive marketing  campaign?

Stubhub doesn't really solve our problem. Stubhub is a secondary market so tickets have to actually be purchased from the school/ ticketmaster by someone first before they're listed on there.

Well, that's not wrong... Our basketball is a joke and we have no conference/national titles in either programs

And our tickets honestly don't even get that cheap on Stubhub because there isn't a supply of tickets to list on there in the first place because no one buys them on the primary market.
