Stop looking at it through misery. The defense got THREE turnovers, where they haven't done so before. That is objectively an improvement, regardless of how many yards they gave up.

Nowhere did I state that the defense played great, nor even to an acceptable level. Instead some people love to just hate, instead of looking at things objectively. If you can't see that there was an improvement, then you are looking at it with differently colored glasses, not me.

Has any USF team ever had this weak a schedule? Leavitt always tried to follow the Bowden mantra of anyone anywhere. Landscape has changed a bit and it has become difficult to schedule those kind of games.

 

I think it has clearly been an improvement - but I think this is far from the best USF team ever (as a best record my indicate).

This is not true.  We've always played a FCS team and a lower leveled FBS team
