First 10 win season and first end of year ranking as well as Willie's first bowl win would be something to build on even if Temple wins out.

It's something. Not sure how much of something, but an improvement over last year! I don't know how much it would go down in history.

Puts us in the map for next year (ranking). But, without a championship does not mean as much.

I of course hope to see an 11-2 season but Memphis is no cakewalk.  We need a complete team meaning both offense & defense. I don't see that with our defense this year.  This is frustrating but at least we have come a long way from the losing seasons we were suffering through.

Here is a list of teams that are fairly likely to lose ONLY 1 or 2 games... but will still not win their division (or conference if no divisions):

  • American Conference: USF & Houston
  • ACC: Louisville, North Carolina
  • B12: WVU (assuming they lose to Oklahoma)
  • B1G: Michigan/Ohio State loser, Nebraska
  • C-USA: ...
  • MAC: ...
  • MWC: Boise State
  • P12: ...
  • SEC: Texas A&M
  • Sun: ...

Not bad company... right?
