I believe that happened to either FSU/Miami, or UF/Miami.

It was FSU/Miami back in 2003-2004. They played in the Orange Bowl on 01/01/04.

They played 3 times in the span of a year.

All of the reporters are just finding the local team that's bowl eligible and putting them in the closest bowl and filling in he rest.

Bowl projections have the same sometimes pleasing, sometimes acrid, aroma of conference realignment projections ...

The only way I would be pissed off at the bowl we get is if we play an opponent we already beat (like Cuse).

None of the bowl games matter to us except for the Cotton bowl, anything else is a nice bonus to cap off a good season with extra practices that just a few years ago we weren't getting.

But I also won't be going. I am in Europe and will buy tickets for my family back home, wherever it is.

Would you guys rather play Kentucky in B'ham or Miss St in St. Pete? I'd rather have MSU in B'ham...

Only because it  is almost impossible for anyone who lives outside of Florida to go to the Saint Petersburg bowl, I would prefer we go to Birmingham. But both of those games are winnable.

I've liked how SBN has consistently put us in the B-ham Bowl. The opponent has varied from Ole Miss to Georgia to now Kentucky. I'm ok with any of those honestly. However I would love to take UF.

I'd love to play UF, so they couldn't keep dodging the 2nd game.  Not sure we beat them, as their D is stout, but it'd be fun to find out.

The beauty of all of this is...we're actually talking bowl preferences again, after the long drought.

They'd probably turn down the bowl game if they had to play us
