Newest models late this morning are showing much further west.  Several have it grazing or hitting the east coast of Florida on Friday.  Because of the way the NHC works, you won't see that start reflecting in the hurricane forecast until later this evening into the night.  The high pressure ridge to the north is building stronger than expected.

That said, I wouldn't expect anything too terrible near Tampa, being on the west side of the storm.

Latest forecast for Saturday is sunny, 88F with wind gust up to 19mph and the best part, a feels like temp of 83F (lower humidity!). Contrast this with the 100+ feels like for FSU. This is usual for the back side of a hurricane to our east.

All the Friday outdoor events could be slightly impacted by 'breezy' conditions (gusts up to 20 mph).

40%

This sucker is going to hit Florida.  Will impact Tampa.  You heard it hear first.

Unless I'm wrong, then SpikeBull said it.

Easiest job out there... just put it at 50% probability and 1/2 the time you will be right. Also make sure the 'cone' reaches every state on the East coast.

Tried to talk my daughter into being a meteorologist for just those reasons. These people never get fired for making a bad prediction.

Winds should be out of the north. Is Gramatica's FG record at risk?

Doubtful, Willie doesn't attempt many FGs over 50 yards

That Other School just postponed their game for this weekend. I really hope this storm doesn't mess with our game.

i think that's because they're on Friday Night. We should be good by Saturday. Although one would think they're running out of time to make a decision. I would assume they'd have to do it by the end of the day today.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
