Uh, no.  The AAC is pretty much middle ground from the Big East and where Temple was before realignment.  Their most recent conference change was an upgrade, not a downgrade.

Yes, because you got booted from the table. Trying to save face ECU is acting like all is well. If it was so well, why did you try to get a set at the presentation table? Just for kicks and giggles? I highly doubt that, you were selling yourself like a two dollar hoe on Nebraska Avenue to the Big 12. Now all of a sudden you don't need the Big 12. Maybe if  you admit when you're wrong you'd be more credible!

That's probably only enough for a handy, and the john would probably have to throw in a pack of smokes too.  

What did the handys cost back in 74-78?

If we want to get really technical, we can at least feel relieved that we aren't Idaho or New Mexico State. Granted, they were never in as big of a league or experienced BCS status, but one has decided to go back to FCS play, and the other hasn't won a bowl game since 1960 or so, and will be excluded from affiliate SunBelt association in another year or so, which may lead to a futile Independent attempt and likely an FCS downgrade too. I can take being a "G5" and still playing competitive teams and having a shot to take down blue blood programs from time to time, but can't imagine what it may be like to have to drop down and end up playing teams like FAMU or Stetson or Valdosta St.
