We've come a long way in the past year alone.  While I had my hopes up, especially after the first series, there's no shame in losing to FSU.

This is why I'm not a fan of early season creampuffs, it's hard to really gauge the team after those games.

Hopefully they can learn from it and move on.  Tackling was the biggest issue, if they can get better fundamentally there, it would make a huge difference.

They can still finish with 1-2 losses and make another step forward.

I will say this, the usual sites where I buy USF gear are pretty sparse at the moment, so the excitement is definitely there.

The run game on the other hand....

They didn't have to throw because we offered no resistance to their runs. When they did throw though, they had quite a few drops. It was bad all around. One of worst defenses performances I can recall for a LONG LONG time.

Our defense is horrible if we had just a avg defense we might win out.

I see Cincy, Ucf, Navy as tough games.

Defense wins championships...not offense.

So that's 4 really tough games...win 3 of those we should win east.

This Cincy game is huge we have only won their once.

Don't think we ever were a program that could compete with ANYONE in the country. I think the best we ever have done is our 1s matching up with the other teams 1s for a half, but depth always has been an issue when competing with the big boys. I'll grant the exception to WVU where we weren't getting mauled on the lines.

Yesterday, we just got beat at just about every position but couldn't exploit the one match up in our favor which was our WRs against their DBs.
