He can probably throw it between 55 and 65 yards, but with a lot of air under it

I'm realistic.  My kid dominates 1A small schools.  Went to all the college camps.  But the big schools aren't looking for a 5'8' 150 pound soaking wet QB/RB when there's 500+ kids at a camp.  He does have D3 offers for football and D2 scholarship offers for track (half ride).  Can walk on for track at a D1 school.  Last year in 7 games due to injury put up 2,096 total yds and 24 TD's.  Rushed for 318 in one game and 271 in another and had a 504 total yardage game.

Time for dad to stop bragging.

Good for him. Sounds like a complete athlete...and there is nothing wrong with braging. You get to watch your son play sports for four more years, it is something to enjoy. Good luck to your son!

...or 80+ with a lot of air behind it.

I don't doubt that many kids can throw it 50 yards. I don't doubt that he can throw it 70 yards. I'm just saying he can't throw it 80. That's like hearing a kid say, "We have a pitcher who can throw 100 mph" when he tops out at 85-90. Huge difference between 90 and 100. Throwing 90 is nothing. Throwing 100 makes you an instant millionaire.

I know, guys.  I know.  It was a dig.  Perhaps too subtle ...

LOL. I got it GA and you probably also know I never questioned QF arm strength and is why I did not mention it as a weakness. He improved so much over the course of the 2015 season anyone will be hard pressed to argue he shouldn't be the starter coming into spring ball.

By the by, QF ended the season with a QBR of 54.1. I would say that's pretty accurate for his season overall (50 being an average QB rating) :FIREdevil:

When he can throw the ball a quarter mile, then I'll be impressed.

Nobody's done that since '82.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
