Not aluminum?  Perhaps we could have Lego make it and pay for it out of lego blocks.  A full stadium made of plastic.

Four years seems like a long time, but I am ready to pay a one time fee for my two seat licenses to help pay for the thing (10,000 @ $2,000 each is 20 million) - maybe those guys who buy all the season tickets but never show up will also pay for seat license donations?

Go Bulls!

Grothe talking about stadium plans.

Matt Grothe@Mgrothe8 18h18 hours ago

@TheReelKnight maybe, if they haven't all committed suicide yet..ps. Ours is in the works, and it's not aluminum . Watch the next few years

So the OP was on to something. Not that I doubted him but this really seals it for me.

Matt is my all time favorite bull.

I'd pay for two seat licenses for a USF stadium. Hope they go this route.

Here is what Tulane was asking and getting for naming rights.  I think they got 15 million alone for the stadium name.

Go Bulls!

Home Field Advantage & Capital Giving

Tulane University is fully committed to building a nationally renowned football program and the leadership, from the Board of Trustees to the President and Director of Athletics, has taken aggressive action to ensure success in this endeavor. The salary pool for the football coaching staff has been significantly increased, the football budget has grown in order to enhance our recruiting efforts and provide the very best for our current football student-athletes, and we will soon have a true "Home Field Advantage" with a state-of-the-art on-campus stadium.

Tulane University is embarking on an aggressive fundraising campaign in order to usher in a new era of success for its athletics programs and has launched a $70M Home Field Advantage Campaign.

The Home Field Advantage Campaign provides donors, season ticket holders, athletics fans, Tulane alumni, parents and students, and the community at large with a facility offering exceptional fan amenities - on the Uptown campus of Tulane University. Additionally, the campaign will provide increased resources for all athletics programs.

In addition, the Tulane Athletics Fund (TAF) has an aggressive campaign goal of $5M over three fiscal years. Any unrestricted gift to the Home Field Advantage Campaign that is not designated specifically to Yulman Stadium will be a part of the Tulane Athletics Fund.

The guy asked Grothe how large the stadium will be...

@TheReelKnight 45 and fully expandable. And plz. We all saw your 2500 announced crowd the other night.

I think Matt is speaking BS, he doesn't know this information first hand, IMO. Why would he?

With Matt being semi close to the program I think this may have legs.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
