Is the offense really any different?

Nice spreadsheet, Sanjay. It's quite telling. Our offense remains marginally better, but it's still offensive to watch.

The mobile QB probably is a big reason for that.

I said it last year that our 2013 offense was historically bad and 2014 was bad. Even jumping 50 yards per game is barely reaching mediocre. We jumped 70 ypg and it is barely mediocre.

The problem in the points per game is that we have had terrible field position (almost whole Memphis game) or have squandered the few great chances we had (FSU pick in the end zone).

Would it be wrong to take away the FCS teams from the averages?

I like that we're beginning to sustain drives, and some for nearly the length of the field. That's pretty different.

And some for nearly an entire quarter, when we are down by three scores.

We have way to many 3 and outs still and terrible on third down.

Dillon needs way more touches he is a big time threat in passing game if he can get the ball.

I've never been a big fan of removing games where we had decent production to prove a larger point.  I usually prefer to keep things honest.  But that's just me.

So yes, I think it would be wrong to take the FCS teams away.  Also, don't forget that one of those FCS teams in the last 3 seasons was this little school called McNeese State.  I seem to remember a few things about how that game went.

McNeese turned out to be a harbinger of what was to come. Ugh.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
