Tom Jones's Two Cents: Three things that popped into my head

1 I would not be shocked if former USF football coach Jim Leavitt makes a run — and perhaps a successful one — to become UCF's coach if this is George O'Leary's last season there. Yowza, imagine how that would burn the USF folks, which might be half the reason Leavitt would want that job.

Could you imagine? I think this would officially push me over the edge...and I am as a patient and loyal USF fan as there is nowadays.

I'd consider it if I were Leavitt. He has no reason to have any allegiance towards USF. I don't see it happening though.

I think he would take it especially if the money was there.  He seems like he would love to beat USF because of the termination.

Would O'Leary hire Leavitt?  I doubt it.  They hate each other.

Pretty sure leavitt can't stand o'leary (who can?). But enough money makes people do a lot of odd things.

If GOL retired as coach and AD though.

I don't see it, I just can't see them looking at his performances and his issues and wanting that. There are better options that can be had for cheaper. And i Like CJL.

I'll play along with Tom Jones...

Imagine if Leavitt gets hired and offers Grothe the QBs coach position.

One of the guys in my tailgate crew has been predicting this for the last 3 years.

That would be a big slap in the face.  I personally feel that it would be an awful move.
