We proved last week that we can't stop the run.. Careful what you wish for.................. Edsall is changing to a better, more experienced QB to try and get a win. If his risk pays off with a win and CWT stays with QF and loses, who do you think wins the argument? Edsal had a reason to make the change. We are still trying to figure out who gives us the best chance to win. If QF struggles, you better believe Bench will get his chance. QF had a below average game against FSU but he did take care of the football. That is where Bench struggles. What? He threw an interception in the endzone and had at least one dropped pick 6. I would not call that taking care of the football. If SB gets derided for a Maryland game where he had one INT and 8 catchable drops, QF should likewise get derided for giving away 6 points, nearly providing 6 points and having 1 in 13 third down efficiency. Honestly, although the pass wasn't just awesome, I think it was more on Dillon that Flowers. It was a "go get it", and Dillon didn't. I just saw the replay. The pass was freakin terrible. The only player that could catch that ball was the defender. If asked, I'm sure Flowers would say he threw a horrible ball. It was a timing throw to the post, and although a little short it was right on a line to the post and catchable if Dillon gets there. Dillon's inside fake cost him too much time/momentum, so he was never able to get there to make a play on the ball.

You can't compare QBs from different games. FSU's defense this year will likely end up much higher ranked than Maryland's in 2014. Why can't everyone sit back, relax, and see how it all plays out? Bench got his chance last year and didn't seize the opportunity. QF is just now getting his chance and, thus far, has won a game he was supposed to and lost one he was supposed to. This will be a make or break game for him. I don't think so. He's our starter and don't see that changing (barring injury)

Edsall is one of those unheralded coaches. I think the guy does a good job of adapting his teams' style of play to the personnel he has. He was able to make UConn consistently competitive in the Big East, and he had a really tough time recruiting up there. He's making Maryland more consistent in the Big 10, which I think is a taller order than the ACC. I think the Terps will be ready to play, and we have to take it to them. Also, losing to a top 10 football team doesn't put your team in disarray. A 20 point loss to Bowling Green does.

In 2013, sure, but don't think so in 2015.

If you want to keep bringing up past seasons to validate your disappointment in the current staff, that's cool. But, I've enjoyed watching the energy this team has brought in two games, as well as the talent improvement made. Looking forward to Saturday.
