Here's an interesting question/thought.

So Tags takes back play calling in hopes to save his career or sink his own ship.

Does Kinnan sit in the booth and "assist" with play calls or will Kinnan not be anywhere near the booth?

i thought I read he was going to be in the booth

I thought the statement was, "they weren't sure if he would be on the field or in the box on gameday."

Taggart hasn't shown the ability to get plays into the huddle on time on a consistent basis.

From another thread:

USF also added special teams coaching duties to Assistant Head Coach/Linebackers Coach Raymond Woodie’s assignments and elevated Joe Kinnan’s role as senior offensive consultant to a full-time staff position.

That's also in the 2015 football prospectus released by the school.  Those are the actual words from it actually.  Kinnan is full tim staff and senior offensive consultant.  I don't think he'd come on board to have not say....  imho

But Kinnan isn't coaching; he's a consultant. The combo of Hope/Reeves will be the third offensive coordinator we've had in Taggart's tenure at USF. I'm just not convinced that Consultant Kinnan can have as much impact. With Taggart retaining the play-calling, I'm just sure how different things will be this upcoming season. I sure hope I'm proved wrong.

If you read the article I posted above (and 2000bull did lol), read between the lines, it seems that atleast one of the offensive coordinators implies that they do turn to coach K for advice and even CWT listens. This makes sense as CWT brought him on, otherwise why do so, right?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
