From another thread:

USF also added special teams coaching duties to Assistant Head Coach/Linebackers Coach Raymond Woodie’s assignments and elevated Joe Kinnan’s role as senior offensive consultant to a full-time staff position.

I think this is potentially great news as in his other capacity he wasnt allowed to function as a true coach on game day. Hopefully this will allow him to throw on some headphones and say 'what the hell you doing coach!' Edited by Bull-Hornz

Taggart hasn't shown the ability to get plays into the huddle on time on a consistent basis.

What's the relevance of your post to this thread?
So what if Kinnan is a special whatever. CWT has a slow delivery

Hyberbolic much... smazza... I mean Delda ;-)

In all seriousness, it easy to see where his impact could be tremendous, including game planning opponents, implementing the entirely new spread offense, real time gameday adjustment, situation play calling, a voice of reason when CWTis wrong, etc etc

Kinnan will not be making game day adjustments. He is not part of the game day coachingcoaching staff.

there was an article where CWT was saying he wasn't sure whether he would be on the field or in the booth

I think this was true in his former capacity as a consultant now as full time staff I got a feeling he will be able to say whatever he wants on gameday :-)

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
